The Casio PCR-T280 cash register provides more functionality for small businesses than many other entry level models. Starting with the ability to track up to 1200 PLU items the PCR-T280 provides more specific item sales. The PCR-T280 also offers 58mm thermal printer for fast and quiet printing. There is a built-in customer display so customers can monitor items being purchased and the final total they owe. In addition you have five (5) department keys, eight (8) clerk totals, the multi-purpose tray and an anti-bacterial keyboard.
The Casio PCR-T280 is a good quality cash register for the price especially considering that the cash drawer is very well designed and built. Although of plastic construction, the front face is designed to overlap the the outer drawer. This prevents the clerk when closing the cash drawer from damaging the rear plastic pin holder from cracking and breaking resulting in needing to purchase a new cash tray. Other comparable priced models from Sharp, Royal and Sam4s do not have this unique feature.
